The Buck Keith Wright has been researching his family history and gathering information and photos from relatives.
His grandparents were married in April 1914 in their home village of Colkirk near Fakenham, where Alfred`s parents ran the The Star public house.~They moved to Sedgeford to manage the Buck in the same year. Alfred was also a blacksmith and worked in the nearby forge. Four of their eight children were born in Sedgeford before they moved to Narford near Narborough and then in the mid thirties to near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. ~ The photos show: 1. Olive and Alfred Wright at the back of the Buck c1915 2. Soldiers billeted at The Buck with Olive and Alfred Wright and their first child Pansy c1916 3. The Buck 1921: a visiting aunt from Colkirk with two of the landlord Alfred Wright's~children, Myrtle and Noel 4. The Buck some years later (date unknown) possibly when a house again
